Alongside Urban Armor Gear, we defined an algorithm strategy based on the iconic hexagon and Union Jack, focused on prioritizing performance, adaptive patterns, and rugged geometries. Computational tools were developed for the creation of an evolved brand pattern and texture tooling geometry, bridging the gap between design and manufacturing while increasing the collaboration between teams.
The Design Sprint brought UAG’s diverse team together to rapidly solve a difficult problem using a previously unimagined tool.
Our work with Urban Armor Gear helped align the team on an evolved direction for the brand’s design language while enabling designers to rapidly iterate concepts and produce a higher fidelity of design and workable geometry for manufacturing.
